Caitlyn Jenner’s recent interview on the UK daytime show, This Morning, has shed light on the complexities of her relationship with ex-wife Kris Jenner. The former Olympic athlete, now 73 years old, shared insights into their 22-year marriage, offering a candid glimpse into the challenges and sorrows that often accompany such high-profile unions.

In her upcoming three-part tell-all series, “House Of Kardashian,” Caitlyn doesn’t hold back as she delves into the rollercoaster journey of her marriage to Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the famous Kardashian clan. Speaking with a touch of melancholy, Caitlyn admitted that their relationship had taken its toll over the years, labeling it as “really sad.”

The story begins with a chance meeting before Caitlyn’s transition, back when she was known as Bruce. “I had been single for six years, and really kind of struggling with myself and who I was and how I fit into the world,” Caitlyn recalled. However, when she met Kris, everything changed. “I was just turning 40 and met Kris on a blind date; we hit it off from day one. Was it love at first sight? Pretty close to that, yes. I was totally impressed with her and how she lived her life – she had four kids, I had four kids… and we got married five and a half months later! It was very quick.”

Fast forward to today, and Caitlyn paints a different picture of her relationship with Kris. “Well Kris, I really never talk to anymore. Yeah, it’s sad. If there’s any communication, my manager kind of talks to her, and when you have as many kids as I have, you’re closer to some than you are to others… I certainly see them and we do this and that. I’m much closer to the Jenner side, but Kris, I don’t really have any more contact with her. It’s kind of sad because we went through a lot.”

Caitlyn’s forthcoming documentary series promises to be a riveting exposé, featuring unseen archival footage and first-hand testimony from the family’s inner circle. As one of the most famous families in the world, the program, produced by 72 Films, explores their family dynamics, scandals, controversial business deals, and personal struggles.

However, Caitlyn’s presence in the family has not always been smooth sailing. Viewers may recall a memorable Keeping Up With The Kardashians scene where Kendall and Kris engaged in a heated argument over Caitlyn’s absence from the family’s Christmas Eve party.

The drama between Caitlyn and the Kardashians escalated in 2017 when Caitlyn released her memoir, “The Secrets Of My Life.” The book offered a warts-and-all depiction of her marriage to Kris, including intimate details about her gender transition. Kris publicly denied some of the claims made in the book, leading to tension and conflict within the family.

In the midst of these struggles, Caitlyn emphasized her pride in her children and stepchildren, stemming from her marriage to Kris and her previous marriage to late attorney Robert Kardashian. She became the stepfather to Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian, who notably passed away in 2003 after battling esophageal cancer.

The Beckham-esque glamour of the Kardashians may seem a world apart from conservative values, yet Caitlyn’s journey serves as a reminder that even in the glitzy realms of Hollywood, relationships face challenges, and family dynamics are not always as picture-perfect as they appear on the surface.

Caitlyn’s story resonates with the idea that fame and fortune cannot shield anyone from the complexities of human relationships, a lesson worth remembering in a world where traditional family values are often pushed aside in the pursuit of glamour and success.
