Being confident in your sexuality is not easy for women. It’s simpler to say than done to be proud of our bodies and flaunt them before the crowd. Not all ladies are happy with what they see in the mirror. But that, exactly, is Brooke Shields’ goal:

The former model is now the face of a new Jordache campaign. And, while the model and actress are both 56 years old, nobody can tell her real age based on her photographs. She exudes self-assurance far beyond her years.

Brooke appears to be in her element in the ad, which is published on February 19, 2022. Her photo was taken by renowned photographer Cass Bird.

The last time she modeled for a denim ad was when she was 15 years old. Even if it’s been too long, she hasn’t lost her touch!

She hasn’t let her age get the best of her, which is excellent. In the photographs, she appears to be wearing nothing except jeans. Brooke feels that the photos provide a significant message about aging women.

She also spoke about the importance of body positivity for females of all ages in an interview with People. She went on to say that she is grateful for this time in her career. “It’s such an honor to be my age and be represented. I feel the magnitude of it more. There’s a knowledge that comes with age, and this feels less like a job and more like a privilege.” she remarked.

Brooke said that authenticity is essential to her at this point in her career. She stated, “It was important for you to see this is my 56-year-old body and to fight the retouching. I’m always like, ‘You better keep it honest.’ And we did.”

It’s fascinating to see celebrities like Brooke speaking out against the age of perfectionists. Celebrities, despite their best efforts, are notorious for being preoccupied with how they appear to the public. Everyone benefits from lowering unrealistic beauty standards.

Brooke claimed that working with the brand was beneficial because of its emphasis on body positivity. “You’ve got the look,” Brooke recalled of the well-known Jordache ad slogan. ““Everybody was like, ‘Well, I want the look. You’ve got it, so I want it.” she continued.

She further said, “Jordache was very much a part of that barrier-breaking mentality. They celebrate the idea of being sexy and bold and they’ve always featured strong, hard-working, ambitious women in their campaigns. It was never just about models. I’ve always appreciated that — it celebrates a different type of advertising and puts the focus on female strength.”

This meant accepting herself as she is now, at age 56, for Brooke. She stated, “There’s something about owning your sexuality at this age that is on point for where we are today.”

Brooke has a cautious approach to her tasks at this point in her life and career. She claims she doesn’t want to be “exploited,” but she’d rather work on projects that are honest and based on the subjects’ experiences and viewpoints.
