We all go through tough times in life, and we have no idea why. Many of us have gone through a lot of trials and difficulties in our lives that have taught us many lessons, but Cody Hall has experienced much more than most people will ever encounter. Cody was born with a severe facial abnormality. The doctors believe she has “haemangioma.”

Her haemangioma was large and disfigured the left side of her face. The doctors informed her family that nothing could be done to treat her condition until she is 6 years old.

Cody is now 25 and resides in Northamptonshire, England. Her condition has altered considerably in recent years. She is presently married and very happy about it. And it’s only been recently that it happened.

It was a difficult road for her, but she never expected it to lead to a happy ending. Cody’s life wouldn’t have ended this way if not for her parents who never stopped looking for treatment, even though they were constantly discouraged by different doctors from the United Kingdom that there was nothing that could be done.

Infantile haemangiomas, often known as “haemangiomas,” are benign vascular abnormalities. They first appear during the infant’s first weeks of life. These may be macules or patches that appear blue or pink. During the proliferative phase, they will grow and become swollen, encircling the skin surfaces.

Haemangiomas are readily identifiable and distinguishable from other forms of vascular damage by patches. When the baby reaches 9 months, 80% of the development has occurred by the fourth month. This indicates that it grows at a rate of 10% each year.

Cody’s parents discovered a surgeon in the United States who is an expert in operating on children with severe facial abnormalities like Cody’s. Her family launched an appeal that raised over $303,462. This is why Cody was transferred to Roosevelt Hospital in New York for her initial therapy when she was only one year old in 1993.

After that, Cody had 18 more operations in the space of 14 years.

Cody’s procedures included a facelift, rhinoplasty, liposuction, skin grafts, dermabrasion, and eyesight surgery. Cody said, “When I started at secondary school I did get a lot of people asking questions and in the street, there would be people staring. Over the years people have realized I am who I am.”

Ironically, it was through one of her cosmetic procedures that Cody ended up meeting the man who would change her life forever – now her husband, Lewis. They got engaged earlier this year and just tied the knot last week. According to Cody, their wedding was a very emotional day for both families; she even shed tears when she saw Lewis waiting for her at the altar.

She stated, “Only tears of joy. I just want to show people that there is a happy ending.”

Despite her challenges, Cody always remained positive. These trials would not be easy but she never gave up hope. She never knew that in time, she would meet the man of her dreams. Her family was supportive and helped to make sure she had a happy life. For Cody, dreams really do come true!
