Leeza Pearson adores her four-year-old daughter to the moon and back. However, when Natalie returned home from school every day exhausted but still hungry, Leeza became concerned. Leeza always made lunch for her daughter, Natalie, who went to Children’s Academy in Aurora, Colorado.

Leeza was perplexed that her daughter, Natalie, would come home each day still hungry. She kept packing the girl’s lunch bag with food and additional snacks like Oreo cookies, but yet the child would return home famished every day.

Leeza Pearson’s daughter has been coming home hungry from school, and she discovered that her teacher had been tampering with her lunch after some research. The teacher took away the Oreo cookies because they were not deemed a nutritious snack. Leeza is furious about how the school’s instructor handled her daughter’s lunch and demands an apology from the Children’s Academy.

Natalie returned home with a note from her teacher, which stated that the instructor was tampering with her lunch by removing the Oreo cookies since she didn’t think the snack was healthy enough for Natalie to consume at school.

“Dear Parents, it is very important that all students have a nutritious lunch,” the note read. “This is a public school setting, and all children are required to have a fruit, a vegetable, and a heavy snack from home, along with a milk. If they have potatoes, the child will also need bread to go along with it. Lunchables, chips, fruit snacks, and peanut butter are not considered to be a healthy snack. This is a very important part of our program, and we need everyone’s participation.”

She was also shocked to hear the teacher attempt to micromanage what she provided as a snack for her child. She is doing her best as a parent and does not require her child’s teacher, adding yet another burden on an already stressful existence.

“They don’t provide lunch for my daughter,” Leeza stated. “I provide lunch. It’s between the doctor and me in terms of what’s healthy for her.”

She might even be open to receiving a few suggestions for healthier snacks that her daughter could bring to school. But she was furious about the unprofessional way that the school’s teacher handled her daughter’s lunch, and she wants the Children’s Academy to apologize to her and her daughter.

When the incident went viral on social media, many parents sided with Leeza. Many people felt that the instructor should have spoken to the mother about the child’s lunch option rather than forcing him or her to go hungry day after day.
