Many people remember the fun dance moves from the 1960s. “American Bandstand” was a show that featured hit songs and dances that most families would watch on a weekly basis. An episode was shown on May 30, 1964, where eight men and women showed just what they could do on the dance floor.

Four teen boys and four teen girls waited while Dick Clark wanted to know their names and ages before they started dancing. The teens were 16 and 17. While they might be young, the music seems to turn them into different people.

They are no longer shy and withdrawn like they were before the music comes on as they combine together to give a show that many still remember. The teens dance to “Romeo & Juliet” by The Reflections. The shirts and skirts in the video bring back fun memories for those who lived in that time period.

While many of the teens today seem to dance in ways that aren’t pleasing to the eye, these teens show that there was once a time when dancing was modest and fun. They showed that they mastered the line dance as well as a few other steps at such a young age.
