After a two-decade disappearance from Hollywood, Bridget Fonda made an unexpected appearance that left many to question if they were looking at the same person. The actress had dramatically changed her look during her time away.
On Friday, the former star of “Jackie Brown” – not seen since September 2022 – was observed in Los Angeles while shopping at a landscaping supply store.
For her day out, she opted for an effortless ensemble of a voluminous white sweater, jet-black capri pants, and blue trainers.
Enhancing her cozy style, Fonda, 59, wore her hair in a tousled ponytail.
Before the ex-movie star’s final public appearance in autumn, she had not been photographed since her 58th birthday celebration back in January 2022 — that was 12 years ago.
At the time, Fonda appeared make-up free in a black and white striped jersey top paired with some comfortable sweatpants. This drastically different appearance from her days as an actress was even more unexpected to fans who were used to seeing the once slim and glamorous star.
After a devastating car accident that resulted in a fractured back, Fonda reportedly bid farewell to Hollywood at the start of the 2000s.
In 2003, she married her soulmate and former Oingo Boingo frontman, Danny Elfman. The following year they started their family together.
In 2004, they joyfully welcomed their son Oliver into the family. Elfman is additionally a father of two daughters, Lola and Mali, from his previous marriage to Geri Eisenmenger.
Fonda is perhaps best remembered for her lead role in the 1992 psychological thriller, “Single White Female.” She also received acclaim for other feature films such as “The Godfather Part III”, “Singles” and “It Could Happen to You”. After a successful career spanning almost 30 years, she appeared in her last movie role – that of ‘Snow Queen’ in 2002’s TV film of the same name.
Not to mention, she is apart of the renowned Fonda acting dynasty which includes her grandfather Oscar-winning actor Henry Fonda who passed in 1982, her father Peter Fonda – star of “Easy Rider” and departed in 2019 – as well as her aunt actress Jane Fonda aged 85.
