When a 79-year-old man in Tennessee called the local police department, they didn’t expect the heartbreaking surprise that awaited them when cops entered the home. The man was alone in the house. He hadn’t ate anything in two days.

The elderly man had been robbed by someone who was supposed to be taking care of him. He didn’t have any money, and he didn’t have any food in the home. He simply didn’t know any other way to live his life.

He contacted the local police department to ask if someone could bring him something to eat.

Four officers knew that they had to do something to help.

The officers used their own money to get food for the elderly man. They didn’t just get food for a day or two. They got enough food for the man to enjoy for a month.

This isn’t the end of their story. The officers started a food pantry where people in the community could get the food that they needed to live. After the pantry was started, the officers also found the woman responsible for taking the man’s money.

Since then, the man’s bank account has been restored with the money that was taken.
