On November 10, 2021, Justin Cauley – an experienced plumber – was assigned the task of completing a renovation project at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church. As he opened up a wall, his immense surprise turned to shock when he discovered five-hundred envelopes containing cash and checks that had been carefully concealed from view! It is as if whoever hid it did not want anyone to know about their ill-gotten gains.

Just a handful of weeks after his remarkable revelation, Cauley parted ways with Osteen and shared the news on 100.3 The Bull’s country music radio station. While speaking to the DJs, he described what it was like discovering such an enormous amount of money tucked away behind a wobbly toilet!

“There was a loose toilet in the wall, and we removed the tile,” Justin Cauley shared his thoughts with the nation’s country music radio station. “We went to go remove the toilet, and I moved some insulation away, and about 500 envelopes fell out of the wall, and I was like, ‘Oh wow!’”

A spokesperson for Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church issued a declaration in response to the plumber’s discovery, asserting that “Recently, while repair work was being done at Lakewood Church, an undisclosed amount of cash and checks were found. Lakewood immediately notified the Houston Police Department and is assisting them with their investigation.”
Recently, Lakewood Church has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Despite their enormous endowment and Joel Osteen’s $15 million mansion back home, this impressive church still had to payback a staggering $4.4 million of COVID-19 aid funds intended for small businesses struggling during these hard times – not an already prosperous ministry like theirs! This is simply unacceptable and goes against what those relief loans were meant for.

Joel Osteen’s church recently had some godly luck when a plumber, Justin Cauley, discovered money hidden in the walls of the Lakewood Church. It turns out that this was from a robbery dating back to 2014 – an amazing find! In recognition of his assistance in solving this criminal case, Crimestoppers generously awarded him $20,000. The sheer delight and joy on Mr. Cauley’s face say it all; he is truly blessed by God to have stumbled across these envelopes of cash within Lakewood Church’s walls.

CrimeStoppers desperately wanted to trace the 2014 robbery and its money, yet remain unsure of who actually hid it behind the loose toilet wall. People are beginning to believe that Osteen was likely involved in this large-scale theft due to his exclusive access which would have enabled him or anyone he allowed time enough to hide vast amounts of cash inside numerous envelopes within the wall.

Have you heard about the embezzled money that surfaced at Osteen’s Lakewood Church? What are your thoughts on this disconcerting situation?
