The passing of Spanish influencer Elena Huelva is heart-wrenching. At only 20 years old, she succumbed to cancer days after releasing a tearful video on Instagram in which she said her goodbyes. It quickly gained 970,000 likes as admirers and fans paid tribute to this brave young woman following her untimely death.

A family member heartbrokenly announced Huelva’s passing on Tuesday through an Instagram story shared to her account.

“Since this morning, Elena dances and looks down at you from her star,” they said. “Thank you for everything.”

Tragically, the Seville social media star passed away due to complications from Ewing sarcoma; a rare form of bone cancer that she bravely fought since her diagnosis in 2016. Her journey was documented on Instagram and received over 950k followers who were captivated by her courage and resilience throughout the disease. Huelva’s optimistic attitude left viewers inspired by her ability to stay positive even during hard times.

In her most recent video from the hospital, the young girl said goodbye to fans with a heavy heart as she had taken a turn for the worse.

“Things are not going well,” Huelva wept in anguish, suppressed by the feed tube.“They found more disease in my windpipe, which is very dangerous, as you know, because that’s where we breathe.”

With a courageous resolve, the Spaniard boldly declared that she didn’t “need to say much more.”

Even in the face of her uncertain future, Huelva stated boldly that she “already won.”

“I know that my life was not in vain, because I fought and got what I wanted,” she passionately vocalized her desire to inform the world about her illness.

Despite her deteriorating health, the influencer was granted permission to spend Christmas with her family – including parents Manuel and Emi and eldest sister Emi (26) – at home.

On New Year’s Day, in her last post, Huelva posted a photo of herself holding hands with her love ones.“Today I woke up not in the best way, in fact, nothing good, a big scare,” she wrote. “These are very difficult days, they are becoming more and more complicated, but as you know I am stronger, and more complicated!”

With a signature phrase and the announcement of her 2022 book, “My desires win,” Huelva concluded.

Her Instagram devotees were left brokenhearted by her passing, with one forlorn admirer writing, “I can’t believe it rest in peace darling.”

“Rest in peace my love, you have been an example of struggle and improvement,” said another.

The late Instagram celebrity garnered accolades from renowned Spanish celebrities, among them TV presenter Sara Carbonero, vocalist Manuel Carrasco and actress Ana Obregón; her son also perished due to Ewing sarcoma.
