For the two representatives, the situation seemed to be funny despite the rising international tensions. Many concerned viewers demanded to know the context of the conversation between the two representatives. Some of them challenged the representative to affirm if they stood with their sworn oaths to protect American lives at all costs. With such security issues, American lives should be a priority for every elected leader. The two representatives appear to burst into laughter when Representative Lee mentions the number of casualties in the war against Iran.

As an anti-semitic refugee from war-prone Somalia, it seems odd for the representative to be laughing at the media. Thus, many viewers and social media users quickly questioned her loyalty, especially during the contentious issue with the Middle East. Additionally, some voters alluded that the two representatives sided with the enemy, thus breaching their sworn oaths to protect American lives at all costs.
Representative Omar responded to allegations leveled against her. She is a refugee from hostile Somalia. In her defense, she indicated that President Trump’s thought of sending troops to Iran gave her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She indicated that she experienced war during her childhood. Thus, war and misunderstandings between the Middle East and the United States gave made her feel sick. The misunderstanding has led to the death of American troops and injuries. As an act of retaliation, Iranian defense forces launched bombs across the border of Iraq. U.S troops were forced to lay back and hide in bunkers and other hideouts. As a result, some congress representatives addressed the nation on the damage caused following Trump’s administration attack on Iran.
