Tim was shopping at the Dollar General on March 16, 2017. He noticed an elderly man who was struggling to pay for his groceries. The man could not use his card because he had forgotten his pin number.
He is a veteran.
Another customer attempted to help the man, but the card was still declined. The cashier, whose name is Jacob, paid for the man’s groceries. The man was not sure about what happened.
The man asked Jacob if he just paid for the groceries. Jacob told the man that he did pay for the groceries. He also stated that the man did not owe him a thing.
Tim was impressed because he knew that the cashier did not have a lot of money. Jacob has received a lot of attention on Facebook since Tim’s post went viral.
Many people have told him about how he is such a good person. They also thanked him for caring for a veteran. Additionally some people stated that it is rare to see a cashier pay for someone else’s groceries.
