It seems as though many Americans are obsessed with combining two different types of desserts together and creating some of the most amazingly tasty treats. The custom cupcake craze has been taking the country by storm over the last decade, but when you take a centuries-old recipe and mix the two together, your taste buds may never be able to stop dancing. This just happens to be the case with Apple Pie Cupcakes, which is one of the simplest baking recipes around.

Instead of traveling to the nearest pastry shop, take a walk into your kitchen and put these three simple ingredients together: one box of white cake mix, a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a 22 oz. can of apple pie filling. In less than a ½ hour you’ll be feasting on a delectable dessert and you may or may not want to share it with your family or friends.

All you need to do is prepare the cake mix in a separate bowl and add a teaspoon of cinnamon. After adding cupcake liners to you muffin tin, apply three tablespoons of batter into each receptacle. Top off each one with a tablespoon of apple pie filling; preheat your oven to 300°F and bake for 18 to 20 minutes and voila! You’ve now got a muffin tin full of Apple Pie Cupcakes! Try not to eat them all by yourself in one sitting. If you’d like, you can add a scoop of your favorite ice cream or drizzle some caramel on the top, or both!
