In a country where homelessness has reached an all-time high, potential answers to this social issue are being thrown left and right.

The most astonishing aspect of the homeless rate in the United States is the percentage of military veterans who are left to the streets following their return from combat.

Fortunately, an independent organization named the Veterans Community Project has assumed the responsibility of solving this prominent issue themselves, starting in a small town in Missouri.

The organization has worked to eliminate the homelessness of our country’s veterans by building tiny houses to provide shelter and security.

After construction began in 2015, the project has already produced dozens of mini homes, fully complete with a supply of food as well as other common household features.

Each structure is 240 square feet, and is primarily funded through private donations as well as volunteers who are passionate about the cause of solving the homeless issue in America.

The Veterans Community Project functions on an issue that is accepted as a major one on both sides of the political spectrum, regardless of political party.

The project members have goals to expand the service to function on a global scale, with the ultimate priority of keeping as many homeless veterans off of the streets as possible.

If you or someone you know are interested in what the Veterans Community Project is doing, please feel free to contact their members in order to work toward eliminating the veteran homeless issue once and for all.
