A woman recently shared a sexy dress on social media that she jokingly dubbed her “funeral dress.” Predictably, the internet was horrified.

A model for the clothing brand EdgyLittlePieces has generated multiple TikTok videos featuring the company’s “best-selling funeral dress.”

The fitted halter mini-dress, commonly known as the “funeral dress,” reveals a significant amount of skin with its large cutouts around the neck, chest and stomach area.

“Funeral dresses back on pre order now,” she wrote on TikTok.

In another video with over 600,000 views and 53,000 likes, she gives a tutorial on how to wear the dress. She explains that you can tighten the straps to make it “super modest for the funeral, then loosen it back down for the after-party.”

The so-called “super modest” look actually leaves the model’s cleavage and torso on display.

A follower asked for a “funeral fit” suggestion, to which the model responded with a video that has amassed 213,800 views wearing the same dress.

“It’s extremely modest and covered up, so it’s perfect for a funeral,” she stated.

One person said, “for a funeral bit inappropriate” – and she replied “had to disagree.”

“We’ve had so many girls wear this to funerals and they messaged us and said they got so many compliments,” she stated. “It’s super covered up, it doesn’t show any cleavage, and it’s super modest as well.”

While the model may have been joking around with her followers for publicity, many TikTok users were not pleased with what they called the “funeral dress.”

“If I put this on for a funeral I think I would get disowned,” someone said.

“My uncle would raise from the dead if I turned up in that,” another added.

“The only funeral I can imagine wearing those to would be me sugar daddies,” one person commented.

“If I wore that to a funeral I would be the one in the coffin,” another person wrote.

“If someone wears this for my funeral I will come back from the dead and take them with me,” someone said.

“Is it me or does this seem disrespectful,” one person stated.

“I mean the dress is gorg but not for a funeral,” another said.

While most felt the dress was inappropriate, others saw the humor.

“The fact that people think you are being serious. You look amazing though,” one person commented.
