In yet another episode of left-wing hysteria on ABC’s *The View*, co-host Whoopi Goldberg couldn’t help but lose her composure after former President Donald Trump called the show’s cast “dumb people” during one of his recent rallies. This comment came after Vice President Kamala Harris’s disastrous appearance on the show, where she stumbled over even the softest of softball questions. Naturally, Trump didn’t hold back.
At the rally, Trump humorously unloaded on *The View*, saying, “As I watch that stupid *View*, where you have these really dumb people… you know, Whoopi Goldberg said, ‘Would you participate in a movie?’ She made some movie on basketball. This was before I ran for politics.” The former president went on to remind the crowd of Goldberg’s past work for him as a comedian at a New Jersey resort, adding, “She said, ‘You’re so great. If you ever ran for president, you’d win’… Politics can do strange things to demented people.”
But Trump didn’t stop there. Taking aim at Whoopi’s well-known foul mouth, he continued, “Her mouth was so foul. She was so filthy, dirty, disgusting. Half the place left. I said I’d never hire her again.”
As expected, Goldberg couldn’t let Trump’s comments slide without a response—and boy, did she respond. On air, she proudly confirmed Trump’s characterization of her vulgarity, saying, “I was filthy and stand on that fact. I have always been filthy. And you knew that when you hired me.” With faux indignation, Goldberg also bragged about being hired by Trump four times, snapping, “How dumb are you?”
Desperate to land a punch, Goldberg even threw out a tired reference to the infamous *Access Hollywood* video, smugly stating, “You know how dirty I wasn’t? I never grabbed anybody by their genitalia.” She followed that up with a sanctimonious lecture about the supposed difference between using crude language and committing assaults, as if trying to score points by shifting the conversation away from her unprofessional conduct.
Not to be outdone, co-host Sunny Hostin also had her moment of indignation, launching into a predictable attack on Trump. In a rant full of leftist buzzwords, Hostin snapped, “Donald Trump, I want to thank you for personally telling so many lies and committing so many alleged crimes. You help us do our jobs and I’m so appreciative.”
The reaction to Goldberg’s and Hostin’s meltdown was immediate. On X (formerly known as Twitter), conservative commentators roasted the *The View*’s unhinged response. One user wrote, “Whoopi Goldberg goes bonkers because Trump called her dumb and called out how filthy she is then she admits it.”
Another commentator, Gunther Eagleman, chimed in with his own scathing critique, saying, “If they didn’t have Trump, they wouldn’t have anything at all. Truly infected with TDS.” He wasn’t alone. Conservative personality Collin Rugg humorously added, “Who said Trump wasn’t creating jobs? *The View* would be out of business if it wasn’t for him.”
Perhaps the most insightful comment came from a user who pointed out the obvious: “Trump is all they talk about. I hate that show and have no clue how it even stays on the air. I don’t watch it… but I will be sure to tune in on Nov 6th to watch their meltdowns. It will be GLORIOUS!! Must see TV!! 🍿 👀”
Indeed, it seems *The View* can’t survive without Trump as their punching bag. And as Goldberg and company continue their tirades, Americans across the country are left wondering why such a toxic, left-wing echo chamber is still on air. One thing is clear: Trump continues to live rent-free in the minds of *The View* hosts, and their public meltdowns only serve to prove his point.
