As the southern border crisis spirals out of control, the Biden administration’s radical allies in Congress are now stoking violence against the very law enforcement officers trying to protect our nation. But the Trump White House is fighting back, calling out the left’s reckless rhetoric after violent attacks on both Border Patrol agents and an ICE facility in Texas.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t mince words when addressing the disgusting violence and the Democrats who helped inspire it. “We certainly call on Democrats to tone down their rhetoric against ICE and Border Patrol agents, who, again, are everyday men and women,” Leavitt said. “I would encourage AOC and other Democrats to actually meet with the United States Border Patrol.”
This comes after a brutal ambush in McAllen, Texas, where a shooter opened fire near a Border Patrol facility, injuring two police officers and one Border Patrol agent. According to the Department of Homeland Security, there has been a jaw-dropping **700% surge in assaults** on federal immigration officers in recent months.
That spike in violence didn’t come from nowhere. Radical Democrats like Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have spent years vilifying ICE and CBP—painting brave law enforcement officers as villains for enforcing the very laws Congress passed.
Jayapal’s most recent tirade was especially unhinged, likening ICE agents to “masked men” who “kidnap and disappear” people off the street, even accusing the agency of “terrorist” behavior. Her words were so irresponsible that even the Biden-led Department of Homeland Security had to step in and condemn them.
“These are honorable Americans who are just simply trying to do their job to enforce the law,” Leavitt reminded the press corps. “They go home to their families every night, just like we all do, and they deserve respect and dignity.”
But respect is the last thing Democrats are offering. Instead, they’re doubling down on wild conspiracy theories, like claiming U.S. citizens are being “disappeared” without a trace — a claim so absurd it belongs on fringe message boards, not the floor of Congress.
In the wake of these escalating attacks, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson fired back at Jayapal’s remarks, demanding accountability. “Jayapal’s disgusting comments warrant an immediate apology. Heroic ICE officers are simply doing their jobs and enforcing federal immigration law, with the utmost professionalism.”
While Democrats paint ICE agents as masked villains, the real masked threats are cartels, traffickers, and smugglers—enabled by open-border policies and shameful political grandstanding. And it’s frontline agents, not Twitter activists, who are left to deal with the consequences.
At a time when law enforcement needs our support more than ever, Democrats are fanning the flames of violence and division. If they won’t stand with the men and women keeping our country safe, maybe it’s time voters stop standing with them.
