Vice President JD Vance didn’t hold back this week after former Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki took a cheap, personal shot at his wife — and he absolutely torched her in response. In what’s becoming a pattern for Democrats unable to debate policy, Psaki ditched substance for mockery, attacking the Second Lady, Usha Vance, in a bizarre and condescending rant that backfired spectacularly.
Psaki, now an MSNBC host and one of the loudest anti-Trump mouthpieces on television, mocked the Vances during a segment earlier this week, calling JD Vance a “little Manchurian candidate” and suggesting his wife “needed to be saved.” In a comment that many critics blasted as sexist and unhinged, Psaki sneered, “I always wonder what’s going on in the mind of his wife. Like, are you OK? Please blink four times. We’ll come over here. We’ll save you.”
She went on to accuse Vance of being “a chameleon” and “willing to do anything to get ahead,” implying that his wife was somehow a victim of his ambition — a claim that drew outrage even from those outside conservative circles.
Jen Psaki’s attack on Usha & JD Vance’s marriage was despicable, but it shows the desperate situation the Democrats are in.
They realize there’s no bringing Trump down. So, they’re starting to focus on what comes next.

When reporters asked the vice president about Psaki’s comments during his visit to Israel on Thursday, October 23, he didn’t mince words. “Oh, I think it’s disgraceful,” Vance said. “But of course, the Second Lady can speak for herself. I’m very lucky to have a wonderful wife, and I know — or at least I hope — my wife feels the same about me. We’re very lucky to have this journey.”
He continued, reaffirming his and Usha’s shared commitment to service: “I’m honored to have Usha by my side on this trip in particular, but always. We’re going to keep serving the country together.”
Vance’s calm but firm response stood in sharp contrast to Psaki’s petty jab — and underscored a broader truth about the Left’s desperation. When Democrats can’t win an argument on ideas, they resort to personal smears, even attacking families.
Usha Vance, a Yale Law graduate and respected attorney, has long been admired for her intelligence, grace, and dedication to her husband’s public service. Yet to Psaki and the MSNBC crowd, she’s reduced to a caricature — a “woman who must need saving” simply because she loves a conservative man.
That condescension didn’t sit well with conservatives, who quickly rallied behind the Vances. Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate **Kari Lake** slammed Psaki on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Jen Psaki’s attack on Usha & JD Vance’s marriage was despicable, but it shows the desperate situation Democrats are in. They realize there’s no bringing Trump down, so they’re starting to focus on what comes next. JD, a sharp guy with a beautiful family & an incredible story — the left is very scared of him.”
Lake added, “They’re right to be — because all they have on the bench for 2028 are clowns like Gavin Newsom.”
Indeed, Psaki’s rant seems less about genuine outrage and more about fear. With President Trump leading a revitalized America First administration and JD Vance emerging as one of the GOP’s brightest rising stars, the Left’s playbook has run dry.
So now, instead of policy debates, we get MSNBC hosts attacking a wife and mother. But as Vance showed this week, real leaders rise above the noise — and when it comes to class, courage, and conviction, JD and Usha Vance are in a league of their own.
