These days, Valerie Bertinelli is quite pleased to be single.

On Thursday, Valerie sat down on the Today show to discuss whether or not she wants to date again after announcing her separation from Tom Vitale. Vitale, 58, recently asked for spousal support from the celebrity after filing for divorce.

‘I have some trust issues,’ she said while tearing up. ‘I am gonna be more than happy to be happily divorced and spend the rest of my life alone.’

She was previously married to Eddie Van Halen, the band’s lead guitarist. She was wed to him from 1981 until 2007.

She subsequently married Vitale from 2011 to 2021, until their marriage was legally dissolved.

She revealed her divorce from her second spouse after an 11-year marriage during a podcast interview with Arianne Zucker.

‘I am gonna be more happy to be happily divorced and spend the rest of my life alone,’ she said.

Despite the fact that she has no intentions of remarrying, her life isn’t entirely lonely.

She is happy with her ‘six cats and my dog and my son, and hopefully one day grandchildren.’

Wolf Van Halen is Bertinelli’s only child, and he too is a musician.

When asked whether she will look for love again, the actress replied, “Oh God, no.”

Santino explained it was because he, “can’t fathom ever placing my faith in someone again,” adding that she, “can’t imagine ever giving anyone access to my life again.”

Last month, Bertinelli finally filed for divorce from Vitale, alleging ‘irreconcilable differences.’ She also revealed she never expected to be twice divorced. ‘Divorce is a bummer,’ she remarked.

In 2011, she married a financial advisor. Her ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen, and her son Wolf were in attendance when she tied the knot. When Eddie remarried in 2019, Bertinelli was a guest.

After her divorce from Van Halen, she and David formed a close friendship until his death in 2020.

On a more serious note, the star recalled dealing with his death, and that it was ‘love’ that aided her the most.

‘Love always wins no matter what, even when they’re gone,’ she stated. ‘There’s still that love there to be grateful for that you had.’

He was there next to him when he died, along with Van Halen’s second wife, his brother, and son.
