The United States Supreme Court delivered another major win for constitutional governance this week, declining to block Texas’ newly drawn congressional map, a move expected to net Republicans as many as five additional House seats in the 2026 midterms. The ruling affirmed what conservatives have long argued: redistricting conducted through lawful state processes is not “rigging,” no matter how loudly Democrats complain when the map doesn’t favor them.

No one seemed more rattled by the decision than Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas. The outspoken progressive, whose own congressional district was eliminated under the new map and who is now seeking higher office, responded with an unhinged tirade that quickly went viral for all the wrong reasons.

In a rambling video posted to her YouTube channel, Crockett unleashed a profanity-laced attack on the Supreme Court, Republican-led states, and President Donald Trump. She accused conservatives of “rigging the system,” an ironic charge coming from a party that has aggressively gerrymandered states like California, New York, and Illinois for decades without apology.

According to Crockett, Republican-controlled legislatures are merely doing Trump’s “bidding” by redrawing maps ahead of the midterms. What she failed to mention is that redistricting is a constitutional responsibility of state legislatures, and Democrats have never hesitated to use it to their advantage when they hold power. The difference now is that Republicans are finally playing by the same rules Democrats wrote.

In one particularly revealing moment, Crockett bizarrely praised California for eliminating GOP seats while applauding Indiana Republicans who refused to redraw their maps, even as she condemned Texas for doing exactly what the Constitution allows. The contradiction underscored what many conservatives see as the real issue: Democrats only object to redistricting when they lose.

Her meltdown escalated further when she turned her fire on the Supreme Court itself, lashing out at the justices for refusing to intervene. Crockett went so far as to claim that certain seats on the Court were obtained “illegitimately,” without offering any evidence or explanation. The rhetoric echoed the left’s growing habit of attacking the legitimacy of institutions whenever they fail to deliver progressive outcomes.

Not stopping there, Crockett openly flirted with the idea of packing the Supreme Court, framing it as necessary for “checks and balances.” Conservatives have long warned that court-packing schemes are nothing more than power grabs designed to bulldoze judicial independence and cement one-party rule.

She later took her grievance tour to daytime television, likening President Trump to foreign dictators and accusing him of undermining free and fair elections, despite the fact that the Supreme Court ruling upheld existing law. Her comments veered into outright hysteria, drawing comparisons that many viewed as both unserious and offensive.

The White House responded bluntly, issuing a statement that summed up conservative reaction nationwide. Crockett, it said, continues to prove she can “say something even dumber” than before, adding that her latest remarks were so detached from reality they didn’t merit a serious response.

At the end of the day, the Supreme Court’s decision reaffirmed the rule of law, not partisan fantasy. While Democrats rage at losing their grip on power, Republicans are reminding voters that elections are won by persuading Americans, not by screaming at judges when the map doesn’t go your way.
