President Donald Trump isn’t mincing words when it comes to Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA). In a series of scorching posts on Truth Social, Trump took direct aim at the Democrat senator, accusing him of mortgage fraud and suggesting that Schiff may soon be trading Capitol Hill for a jail cell.

The controversy centers around Schiff’s Maryland property — and what appears to be a case of either lying to the bank or lying to California election officials. Back in 2003, Schiff sold his home in Burbank, California, and purchased a house in Maryland. On paper, he declared the Maryland residence as his *primary home* — a designation that often helps secure lower mortgage rates. But there’s a major problem: Schiff was still serving as a California representative, and to do that legally, his primary residence should have remained in California.

So, which is it? Did Schiff lie to the bank to save money on his mortgage — a federal crime — or did he lie to California to keep his congressional seat?

According to Trump, either way, Schiff is in serious legal trouble. Posting to Truth Social on Sunday, July 20, the president didn’t hold back. “Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff is in BIG TROUBLE!” Trump wrote. “He falsified Loan Documents.”

Trump’s post then took a deeply personal turn, highlighting Schiff’s central role in pushing the now-debunked Russia collusion hoax — particularly his efforts to target Donald Trump Jr. “He once said my son would go to prison on a SCAM that Schiff, along with other Crooked Dems, illegally ‘manufactured’ in order to stage an actual coup,” Trump declared.

The president continued: “My son did nothing wrong, knew nothing about the fictional story. It was an American Tragedy!”

Trump made clear that, in his view, Schiff’s alleged actions aren’t just fraudulent — they’re the height of hypocrisy. “Now Shifty should pay the price of prison for a real crime,” Trump wrote, “not one made up by the corrupt accusers!”

In a follow-up post, Trump provided more details about what he called the “fraudulent scheme.” According to Trump, the deception began as early as 2009 during a refinancing of the Maryland property and continued through several transactions until the home was finally labeled a “second residence” in 2020 — a full 17 years after the original purchase.

“I always knew Adam Schiff was a Crook,” Trump said. “The FRAUD began with the refinance of his Maryland property on February 6, 2009, and continued through multiple transactions until the Maryland property was correctly designated as a second home on October 13, 2020.”

He ended with a blunt call to action: “Mortgage Fraud is very serious, and CROOKED Adam Schiff (now a Senator) needs to be brought to justice.”

For years, Schiff led the charge against Trump, peddling lies, manufacturing scandals, and poisoning the public with false narratives. Now, the tables may finally be turning. If these allegations prove true, Schiff may have to answer for more than just his political dishonesty — he could be facing the legal consequences of a real crime.

It’s not just political payback. It’s about holding the powerful accountable — no matter how high they climb or how smugly they lie.
