President Donald Trump once again proved why he dominates the political stage—delivering a brutally funny jab at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), one of the far-left “Squad’s” most controversial members. Speaking with reporters, Trump joked that he had asked Somalia’s president if he would like to “take back” Omar, who immigrated from the country as a child. The Somali leader’s response? A flat “no.”

The remark drew laughter from the crowd—and outrage from Omar, who has spent years attacking America while embracing radical left-wing politics.

For context, Omar has long been one of the most despised Democrats in Congress, thanks to her anti-American rhetoric, ties to radical politics, and open hostility toward conservatives. She’s been under even heavier fire in recent weeks for her callous comments following the murder of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. Rather than condemning the horrific violence, Omar tried to justify it by smearing Kirk’s “rhetoric” as unacceptable.

That reaction reignited calls from conservatives for Omar to be impeached, stripped of her citizenship, and deported. Trump later doubled down on Truth Social, reminding Americans of Somalia’s failed-state status and questioning how someone from such a broken system could lecture the United States. “Ilhan Omar’s Country of Somalia is plagued by a lack of central Government control, persistent Poverty, Hunger, Resurgent Terrorism, Piracy, decades of Civil War, Corruption, and pervasive Violence,” Trump wrote. “70% of the population lives in extreme Poverty, and widespread Food Insecurity. All of this, and Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America!”

And in vintage Trump style, he ended with a stinging reminder of Omar’s most infamous scandal: “Wasn’t she the one that married her brother in order to gain Citizenship??? What SCUM we have in our Country, telling us what to do, and how to do it.”
