At the NATO summit in The Hague, President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth didn’t hold back as they obliterated the left-wing media establishment for spreading disinformation about the highly successful U.S. strike on Iran—Operation Midnight Hammer.

During a fiery press conference, President Trump slammed *The New York Times* and CNN for leaking and mischaracterizing an early intelligence report that suggested the precision bombing raid—one of the most daring military actions in modern history—had only delayed Iran’s nuclear program by a few months. Trump made it clear: the so-called “intel” was not only premature but deeply misleading.

“This was a tremendous success,” Trump said. “We dropped bunker busters, we launched cruise missiles, and we obliterated Iran’s most dangerous nuclear facilities. The idea that this was anything less than a decisive blow is pure fake news—brought to you by the failing *New York Times* and the no-ratings network CNN.”

The mainstream media seized on a preliminary, low-confidence intelligence assessment—conveniently leaked right after the strike—to downplay the operation’s effectiveness. Their goal? Undermine Trump’s leadership and the credibility of the mission. But the president wasn’t about to let them rewrite history.

“They’re trying to make us look bad for scoring a major win against a terror-supporting regime,” Trump said. “CNN, the *New York Times*, MSNBC—these are not news organizations. They are political hit machines with press passes.”

Secretary Hegseth, a veteran and strong national security voice, stepped up to drive the point home. He confirmed the report cited by the media was not only incomplete but never meant for public release.

“This was a top-secret, preliminary battle damage assessment,” Hegseth explained. “It was early, low confidence, and internal. The idea that CNN or *The New York Times* would rush to publish it with zero context shows you they weren’t interested in facts—they were interested in politics.”

Hegseth also confirmed an FBI investigation is underway to identify the leaker, calling it a breach of national security aimed at embarrassing the Commander-in-Chief rather than informing the American public.

Trump, never one to shy away from calling out enemies of the truth, put it more bluntly: “Anybody here from CNN? You’re a disgraceful network. MSNBC is worse, but they’re all pretty bad.”

He went on to praise the American military, whose flawless execution of the operation delivered a clear message to Iran and the world: the United States will act when necessary to defend its people and its allies.

“It’s really demeaning to our pilots, our generals, everyone involved,” Trump said. “This was a perfect operation. Two Iranians went down to the site and said, ‘This place is gone.’ Yet CNN wants you to believe otherwise.”

As always, the real story is simple: President Trump scored a major foreign policy and military victory—and the corporate media is furious about it. So instead of reporting the truth, they leak half-baked reports, twist the facts, and try to gaslight the American people.

But Trump isn’t fooled. And neither are we.
