Another day, another baffling take from *The View*. This time, co-host Sunny Hostin managed to make even her ultra-woke colleagues cringe when she blamed earthquakes on—wait for it—climate change.
In a recent episode, Hostin launched into a bizarre explanation, linking climate change to recent earthquakes. She recounted how her studio makeup artist panicked and ran down the hallway, yelling, “Jesus is coming!” and “The rapture is here!” But the real shock came when even *The View’s* resident left-wing loudmouths, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, had to step in and correct her nonsense.
“Except earthquakes are not at the mercy of climate change. It’s underground. It can’t,” Behar pushed back.
Not willing to back down, Hostin tried again. “How about the warming of the planet?” she asked.
Whoopi Goldberg finally shut it down, saying, “No, it happens.” She then tried to explain the science behind eclipses, reminding everyone that these events are predictable and have nothing to do with climate change. “So all these folks who are saying, you know, it’s a sign from God—God doesn’t give you warning,” Goldberg concluded.
Even though Goldberg got the science right for once, the fact that a nationally broadcast talk show had to debate whether earthquakes are caused by climate change tells you everything you need to know about the state of liberal media.
It didn’t take long for social media to pile on. Viewers wasted no time shredding Hostin for her embarrassing mistake.
“When Whoopi Goldberg has to give you a science lesson… don’t look for an invitation to join Mensa in the mail,” one user wrote.
“These are the morons who tell liberal women how to think, feel, and vote. This country will not survive four more years of this much stupid,” another quipped.
Others had fun imagining The View’s take on other scientific phenomena.
The View ladies struggled through their eclipse segment today.
Sunny Hostin didn't know how to pronounce "cicadas," and then she linked earthquakes and the eclipse to climate change.
Joy Behar actually corrected her 😂

“Meanwhile, Greg Gutfeld and his guest panelist Godzilla are discussing how to poke fun at Sunny and solar eclipse experts on *The View*,” one commenter joked. “Godzilla pointed out that Sunny doesn’t know astronomy well enough to understand that solar eclipses aren’t related to climate change.”
The wave of online mockery didn’t stop at Hostin. Christina Amira Khalil, a Green Party activist, was forced to delete a tweet after she, too, made the ridiculous claim that an earthquake in New Jersey was proof of the “climate crisis.” After being hit with a fact-check and relentless ridicule, she quickly scrubbed the post.
While Hostin’s gaffe is entertaining, the real question is: why does anyone take *The View* seriously?
“This started with Oprah. Now this?? Seriously, they get ratings because of their stupidity,” one user wrote. “It’s *The Truman Show* in real life.”
Another user put it more bluntly: “Seriously. Why would anyone want to view *The View* except for comedy or commentary on American ignorance? Do American women really think like them?”
Unfortunately, for many liberal women, *The View* is *the* trusted news source. And that, more than any climate change hoax, is the real disaster.
