For years, the National Football League has been alienating its core audience — hardworking, patriotic Americans who just want to watch football without being force-fed leftist propaganda. But this year, the NFL has decided to throw gasoline on the fire. Its latest move? Announcing that the headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show will be none other than Puerto Rican pop star and cross-dressing, Trump-bashing activist “Bad Bunny.”
Bad Bunny is no stranger to controversy. He’s made a career not just out of shock-value performances but also out of attacking conservatives, law enforcement, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Now, thanks to NFL leadership, his radical political messaging will take center stage at the biggest sporting event of the year — a family event watched by more than 100 million Americans.
This is only the latest in a long string of political stunts by the league. From the moment the season kicked off, the NFL reminded fans that it has no interest in focusing on football. Instead, it plastered “social justice” slogans across end zones, continued to promote the so-called “Black national anthem,” and doubled down on wokeness at every opportunity. Fans hoping for a break from politics were instead served a steady dose of left-wing ideology.
The decision to bring in Bad Bunny, however, appears to be the last straw for many conservatives. Social media exploded with furious reactions from fans — and former fans — vowing to boycott the league entirely.
One user on X put it bluntly: “I think it’s time people boycott the @NFL. First the kneeling. Then the male cheerleaders. Now Bad Bunny — a demonic drag show for halftime entertainment. BOYCOTT THE NFL.”
Another added: “Promoting this man’s mental illness/deviancy is not appropriate for family entertainment. He is also anti-ICE and anti-American. Let these advertisers know YOU WILL NOT BE WATCHING THE SUPER BOWL!”
The anger is spreading quickly. Calls for boycotting the NFL’s advertisers, canceling subscriptions, dumping merchandise, and walking away from fantasy leagues are everywhere. The message is simple: if the league insists on insulting its fanbase, fans can and will take their money elsewhere.
Some pointed to the obvious alternatives: instead of importing a drag-wearing, anti-American activist, the NFL could have tapped into universally loved rock bands like AC/DC — acts that actually represent the energy and unity of football culture. Instead, the league chose an activist with a history of spitting on American values.
Others noted that they’ve already walked away. “I plan to continue to #BoycottNFL,” one longtime fan wrote. “Haven’t watched a game or spent a dime since they condoned kneeling and disrespect of the flag. Bud Light their ass.”
The truth is undeniable: the NFL has gone full woke. It’s no longer about football. It’s about pushing an agenda that despises the very values the sport was built on — patriotism, hard work, and unity. By handing its most prized stage to Bad Bunny, the league has made its priorities clear: politics over fans, virtue signaling over America.
For millions of Americans who still care about this country, the choice is just as clear. It’s time to turn off the game.
