In a fiery appearance on his *War Room* podcast Thursday, former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon called on President Trump to take bold and immediate action against tech billionaire Elon Musk — warning that Musk has not only turned his back on the America First movement, but may also pose a serious national security threat.

Bannon’s remarks came after Musk publicly declared his intention to shut down the use of SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft for NASA missions to the International Space Station — a move Bannon called a direct threat to the country’s space program and, by extension, national defense. Bannon didn’t mince words: he wants Trump to invoke the Defense Production Act and take control of SpaceX before it’s too late.

“When he threatens to yank one of the government’s most important programs out of SpaceX, President Trump should sign an executive order *tonight* to seize control under the Defense Production Act,” Bannon said. “Before midnight.”

Let’s be clear: SpaceX has raked in *billions* in taxpayer dollars to support America’s defense and space exploration. Yet now Musk—who made his fortune thanks in no small part to generous government contracts and subsidies—thinks he can hold America hostage because he’s having a public tantrum over political disagreements? Not under President Trump’s watch.

Bannon also raised sharp concerns over Musk’s background, calling for an investigation into the South African-born billionaire’s immigration status. “I am of the strong belief that he is an illegal alien, and he should be deported immediately,” Bannon told the *New York Times*.

The call to investigate Musk didn’t stop there. Bannon urged scrutiny into Musk’s alleged drug use and even his efforts to obtain sensitive Pentagon briefings. Until then, Bannon says Musk’s security clearance should be suspended and every federal contract held by SpaceX, Tesla, and any of Musk’s companies should be frozen.

Musk’s fall from grace in Trumpworld has been swift and public. Once an insider in the Trump administration, he has now veered sharply off course. After President Trump expressed “disappointment” in Musk earlier this week, the billionaire lashed out on X, claiming the Trump administration was hiding Epstein-related documents that would implicate the president — a baseless and bizarre accusation with no merit.

To make matters worse, Musk is now signaling support for impeaching Trump and replacing him with Vice President JD Vance. Bannon sees this as betrayal not just of the president, but of the entire MAGA movement.

“Elon has always worked for Elon,” Bannon said. “When he stopped getting the adoration, he turned on Trump, turned on MAGA, and worst of all, turned on the American people.”

According to Bannon, Musk will happily align with the radical left if it means preserving his own power and fortune. “If progressives promise him EV sales and federal favors, he’ll turn around and write Hakeem Jeffries a \$500 million check and work to impeach Trump. He’ll help them steal another election.”

The takeaway from Bannon’s warning is loud and clear: Elon Musk is not a MAGA ally. He’s not a patriot. He’s a globalist technocrat who used the conservative movement for leverage — and now that he’s been told “no,” he’s threatening to burn it all down.

President Trump, according to Bannon, needs to act — decisively, and immediately.
