The hearing, focused on the dangers of sanctuary cities, was already contentious when Pressley attempted to push an unverified left-wing talking point that U.S.-born Texans allegedly commit more violent crimes than illegal immigrants. Comer, refusing to allow the committee to be hijacked by political grandstanding, shut down her attempt to introduce the articles.
