In yet another example of how the radical left puts criminals above American citizens, the Soros-backed activist group CASA has been caught organizing a rally in support of Kilmar Abrego Garcia — a man credibly accused of being an MS-13 member, a human trafficker, and a serial domestic abuser.
Garcia, an illegal alien from El Salvador, is facing deportation thanks to the Trump administration’s efforts to restore law and order. But the far-left is working overtime to shield him from accountability. At the rally, CASA activist Lydia Walther-Rodriguez even served as Garcia’s translator as he whined about being a “victim” of the Trump administration.
Of course, the real victims are the countless Americans who’ve suffered at the hands of MS-13 and other violent illegal alien gangs.
According to Breitbart News, George Soros and his son Alex have funneled millions into CASA and its political arm, CASA in Action. In 2023 alone, Soros’s Open Society Foundation handed the group a \$250,000 grant, on top of \$1.6 million for political agitation. Another \$1.6 million went directly to promoting mass immigration — a clear signal of what Soros and his dark-money empire want: open borders and chaos.
This isn’t an isolated incident. Soros-funded outfits have poured more than \$20 million into far-left activist groups designed to undermine Trump’s fight against crime, weaken immigration enforcement, and destabilize communities. These groups promote tactics straight out of leftist revolution handbooks — “Do not obey in advance,” “Take up space,” and even bizarre calls for citizens to bang pots and pans in protest.
Despite this pressure campaign, Trump’s DHS is holding firm. Secretary Kristi Noem blasted activist Judge Paula Xinis of Maryland for issuing a 72-hour delay on Garcia’s deportation. Xinis, a liberal appointed under Obama, essentially ordered a dangerous criminal be allowed to remain on American streets.
Noem didn’t mince words. Posting to X (formerly Twitter), she wrote:
“Activist liberal judges have attempted to obstruct our law enforcement every step of the way in removing the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from our country. Today, we reached a new low with this publicity-hungry Maryland judge mandating this illegal alien who is a MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator be allowed free.”
She concluded with a vow to the American people:
“By ordering this monster loose on America’s streets, this judge has shown a complete disregard for the safety of the American people. We will not stop fighting till this Salvadoran man faces justice and is OUT of our country.”
Democrats and their donor class claim to stand for “justice” — but their actions reveal a very different agenda. Whether it’s pumping millions into pro-crime NGOs, funding groups that shield violent criminals, or using activist judges to undermine the law, the left consistently sides with criminals over citizens.
Meanwhile, Trump’s DHS continues to do the job Democrats refuse to do: protect Americans, enforce the law, and make clear that gang members, traffickers, and predators have no place in the United States.
