Things got heated fast on a recent episode of *The Five* when Fox News contributor Tyrus delivered a sharp one-liner that appeared to leave liberal co-host Jessica Tarlov visibly rattled — setting off yet another viral clash between the show’s conservative and left-leaning voices.
The tense exchange unfolded during a segment discussing President Donald Trump’s recent rally in Rockland County, New York, where the president campaigned alongside Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) while touting his administration’s economic agenda and America First accomplishments.
As usual, Tarlov wasn’t buying it.
The liberal commentator launched into a lengthy critique of President Trump, dismissing claims about economic gains and arguing that Americans — outside of the wealthy, in her view — aren’t feeling financial relief.
“Today, telling people you have more money in your pockets when nobody thinks that,” Tarlov argued, before pivoting to criticisms of Trump’s speeches and his repeated references to cognitive testing.

Tarlov also hammered Republicans for what she described as a lack of legislative victories, even bringing up internal GOP divisions and criticism surrounding recent congressional fights.
“There are no legislative accomplishments for Republicans,” she argued, citing media reports and comments from Republican insiders critical of the party’s recent direction.
She then pivoted toward familiar Democratic talking points about inflation, foreign policy, and January 6 — accusing Republicans of being distracted while Americans struggle economically.
That’s when Tyrus decided enough was enough.
As Tarlov referenced Trump joking about the letter “B” appearing in the word “dumb,” Tyrus leaned in with a remark that instantly changed the tone of the conversation.
“There’s another word with a B that I would like to add to that,” Tyrus said dryly, “and it’s in the front.”
The studio froze for a moment.
Tarlov, clearly taken aback, immediately fired back:
“Are you saying that about me, Tyrus?!”
Tyrus quickly clarified — though not without leaving viewers amused.
