There are few people in the world who can create influence and use it for good and one of them is Priscilla Huggins Ortiz. From her humble beginnings to being one of the most sought after models on earth today, she had proved that you do not need to be too famous to make a change.
Born on the 26 of October 1993 to John Higgins and Maritza Ortiz, Priscilla had quite a happy childhood and enjoyed dancing and going to the beach with her friends. She always knew she was destined for something great. Since high school, Ortiz has championed for equal rights and working conditions for young Latina people, as she was a member of the Puerto Rican Junior National team for two years. She does the same today for models in the industry.
As a young girl, Priscilla always knew she would influence people into making great decisions like being confident and accepting yourself the way you are. All through her schooling, she managed to get into positions of influence while working hard to achieve academic success. She was a cheerleader and often took part in pageants that manifested confidence. Ortiz is very athletic and was a four-year letter winner for the volleyball she played. She also occasionally played basketball and did a few stints at high jump. Her athletic excellence can be told through her MVP recognition she attained from playing basketball in 2008,2009 and 2010, her silver medal for the 2009 and 2010 high jump and a bronze medal for the same in 2011. Her athletic past and her current workout regimen have played a key role in helping her maintain her A list model body.
Today, Priscilla Huggins Ortiz is currently a model signed under Ortiz has worked with many reputable modelling agencies such as Next Models Miami, Vivien’s Model Management, Wilhelmina Models and Milk Model Management. She is a powerhouse and stands for all things young women can achieve when they believe in themselves and work hard enough for it.
When she is not strutting the runways or getting on set to model for a brand, she is out mentoring people and sending out messages of hope. She has taken part in numerous campaigns that champion for body positivity and put out notes that go out to her three hundred thousand followers on her Instagram page. As the world came together to fight for the lives of black people all over the world in the Black Lives Matter, Priscilla Huggins used her influence and her social media platforms which have thousands of followers to amplify the voices of the movement. As part of her agenda to help achieve equal rights for everyone, she has a section on her Instagram on how people can help people who are working for the Black Lives Matter movement. She also has a quarantine album where she keeps reminding people to stay safe, stay indoors and observe other regulations to help flatten the curve.
Priscilla loves to travel for fun, even though it is still a requirement for her job. She frequently updates her social media with pictures of the great places she visits, often encouraging others to visit it as well. Ortiz is also a photography enthusiast, which would explain why even some of her pictures taken on her phone are so high quality.
