During an appearance at the Code Conference, billionaire Mark Cuban condemned progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s tax proposals and her calls to tax the rich.

Cuban, who has an estimated personal fortune of $4.6 billion, criticizes Warren (D-Mass.) over her persistent requests for higher taxes on him, Elon Musk and other affluent Americans. The liberal lawmaker has always claimed that billionaires don’t pay their fair share in taxes.

“I don’t mind being taxed more. I wrote a blog 20 years ago saying it’s the most patriotic thing you can do, after military service, is pay your taxes, because that’s what allows everybody to live and to prospect,” said Cuban when asked about the Democrat-led push for higher taxes.

“But yeah, the idea of ‘soak the rich,’ billionaire tears that fill that cup — screw you, Elizabeth Warren. You’re everything that’s wrong with politics,” Cuban continued.

Cuban’s commentary at the meeting was aired on CNBC and then later clipped by Mediaite.

Warren’s office has not yet responded to the Post’s requests for comment regarding Cuban’s remarks.

Warren proposed an “ultra-millionaire tax” during her 2020 presidential campaign. The plan would involve creating a tax that only applies to households with $50 million or more in net worth, as stated on her website.

While Warren calls for a tax crackdown on the wealthy, she has often clashed with billionaires such as Musk and Jeff Bezos.

In a clip from October 2021, Cuban previously destroyed Warren, suggesting the idea of some Democrats for a new tax on unrealized gains on investments was a “disaster.” Mavericks owner and Shark Tank star Mark Cuban described it as such.

“I don’t think Elizabeth Warren knows at all what she’s talking about when she deals with this,” Cuban said. “I think she just likes to demonize people that are wealthy and that’s fine.”

“It’s a great political move for her, but I just don’t think that they really understand the implications of taxing unrealized gains,” he added.

Warren responded to Cuban’s comments that day on MSNBC’s “Mehdi Hasan Show.”

“Mark Cuban’s problem is not that I don’t know what I’m talking about,” Warren stated. “Mark Cuban’s problem is that I know exactly what I’m talking about.”

“We need to change the laws so they’re not written just by the lobbyists for Mark Cuban and his buddies,” she said.
