Losing one family member can be incredibly difficult, but losing two close family members within just a few months is even more devastating. Rod Stewart is currently dealing with such a loss.
Last September, Rod announced the death of his brother, Don Stewart. Curiously, he passed away just two days before Queen Elizabeth II. Rod shared his grief for the loss of both friends on Instagram by posting a picture of a crown with the caption, “It has been a devastating 48 hours. We lost my brother Don on Tuesday at 94 and today we have all lost Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at 96.”
Rod Stewart is now mourning the loss of his second brother within less than two months after his first brother, Don, died. Bob Stewart passed away on, November 30th, 2022. Rod took to Instagram yet again to share the news of his brother’s death, this time posting a picture of a candle with the caption “Rest in Peace.” He wrote a caption for the photo, “It’s with great sadness that I announce the loss of my brother Bob last night, who joins my brother Don on the great football pitch in the sky.” Rod continued, “I’ve lost two of my best mates in the space of two months.RIP Don and Bob ‘irreplaceable buddies’ Sir Rod Stewart.”
Rod is the youngest of five siblings. His older sisters, Peggy and Mary, are still alive.
