In a move that has shaken the Washington establishment to its core, the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice is reportedly digging into the conduct of notorious Deep State figures — including John Bolton and Adam Schiff — and, as expected, the RINO class over at Fox News can’t help but leap to their defense.
The network’s resident Beltway apologist, Howard Kurtz, sparked outrage across social media after using his platform to criticize the Trump Administration’s efforts to hold some of the most corrupt insiders in American politics accountable. Rather than applauding the long-overdue investigations into those who helped orchestrate years of political sabotage, Kurtz chose to paint President Trump as vindictive — parroting the same talking points pushed by CNN and MSNBC.
During his late-August broadcast, Kurtz lamented that “many of Donald Trump’s political opponents are finding themselves under investigation, or the President calling for one,” before rattling off names like John Bolton and Chris Christie. The irony, of course, is that Bolton — Trump’s former National Security Advisor — openly admitted to undermining the administration’s foreign policy goals and profited handsomely off his tell-all book deal.
Kurtz went on to clutch his pearls over Trump’s suggestion that far-left billionaire George Soros and his son should face prosecution under RICO laws for their role in funding violent protests across the country. “George Soros and his wonderful radical left son should be charged with RICO because of their support of violent protests and much more all throughout the United States,” Trump had said — a statement that resonated deeply with conservatives who’ve long watched Soros bankroll America’s decline.
But Kurtz wasn’t done defending the uniparty elite. He even took issue with President Trump’s remarks about Maryland’s Democrat Governor Wes Moore, who received millions in federal aid for infrastructure repair. Trump had joked about “rethinking” that decision after Moore took swipes at his leadership — a harmless comment that Kurtz called “the most egregious case,” insisting that such remarks “hurt” the people of Maryland.
That line of thinking didn’t sit well with the America First movement. MAGA activists and commentators quickly lit up X (formerly Twitter), blasting Kurtz and Fox News for their predictable defense of establishment figures. The “Johnny MAGA” account posted, “Fox News’ Howard Kurtz defends John Bolton, Chris Christie, George Soros, and Democrat Governor Wes Moore, implying they’re only being scrutinized because they’re Trump’s political opponents. He’s actually worse than what you find on CNN.”

Another user, The Glockford Files, didn’t hold back either: “In case you didn’t already know, Fox News is owned and operated by the Democrats and RINOs of the uniparty cult. They shouldn’t be trusted any more than CNN or MSNBC.”

Donald Trump Jr. also weighed in during a recent Newsmax interview, blasting Fox for becoming indistinguishable from the networks conservatives once mocked. “Honestly, I don’t watch it anymore because it’s so ridiculous,” he said.
As the DOJ turns its attention toward the very people who tried to undermine the will of American voters, the predictable reaction from RINOs and corporate media is telling. The Deep State and its allies in the press are terrified — not because Trump is doing something wrong, but because, for the first time in decades, someone is holding them accountable.
