Watching an excited puppy can stir even the hardest heart.
Whether you fear dogs or love them, you can’t deny that there’s something magical about watching a puppy wiggle, bark and run around.
The jogger in this video wasn’t expecting to run into that special experience during his rural work-out, but he didn’t hesitate to offer affection to this adorable pup.
It only took a few kinds words and the runner had a new best friend. The little dog refused to let the man out of his sight once pup realized he was friendly.
As he captured on video, the puppy started running after him before sprinting ahead and adorably rolling around. The jogger couldn’t help reaching down and giving a few belly rubs to the soft, fluffy dog.
Once he’d seen how much love this puppy had to give, the runner knew he couldn’t leave the puppy alone. He took him home for some food, water and love before calling a local shelter.
Knowing how much the Internet loves a happy ending, the jogger made sure to share that puppy had been adopted. Hopefully he’ll get plenty of runs and belly rubs in his new forever home.
As for the caring runner, he’s built up enough canine karma to never have to worry about aggressive stray dogs during his runs again.
