In what can only be described as another unhinged outburst from the radical left, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) appeared on MSNBC’s *Alex Witt Reports* and unleashed a tirade so absurd, even fellow Democrats might be wincing.
Crockett — who has become notorious for inflammatory rhetoric, inappropriate behavior, and a string of embarrassing controversies since entering Congress in 2023 — now claims she’s ready to lead the House Oversight Committee if Democrats retake power. Given her track record, that’s a terrifying proposition for anyone who values sanity, facts, or professionalism.
The segment began with Crockett reacting to a speech by President Trump at West Point. Rather than offering substantive criticism, Crockett resorted to personal attacks, saying, “He literally sounds like somebody who has broken out of the insane asylum. Like, he be all over the place. Give him some ADHD medicine.” Yes, that’s an elected member of Congress mocking a former president with juvenile insults and broken grammar on live TV.
She went on to slam Trump’s remarks to cadets as if she’s an expert in military morale, saying, “What a great reminder that you are not qualified to be the person who potentially will be commanding us as troops to go into war.” This from a representative who’s spent more time slinging Twitter insults than working across the aisle or understanding national defense.
But Crockett’s rant didn’t stop at Trump. She turned her fire on Governor Kristi Noem, sneering, “I doubt that there is anything of substance that she is over there to deal with…. I think that’s probably all Kristi Noem is good for is a photo op.” Ironically, Noem has spent years governing South Dakota effectively while Crockett has struggled to speak in complete sentences during hearings.
And now, according to her own words, Crockett wants to take the reins of the powerful House Oversight Committee. “We will do oversight, and we will investigate whether this president himself has violated the emoluments clause,” she promised, revealing her plan to use government resources to once again dig into Trump’s personal life — something Democrats already wasted millions doing during his first term.
In the most dramatic moment of the interview, Crockett claimed she’s the victim of constant threats, saying, “I will not back down, even in the face of all the threats I will have waged at me because Lord knows, I have death threats waged me every day.” (Yes, those were her exact words — “death threats waged me.”)
While threats against public officials should always be taken seriously, Crockett’s frequent invocation of victimhood seems more aimed at generating sympathy and deflecting criticism than addressing real issues.
At a time when Americans are looking for leadership, competence, and solutions, what they got from Rep. Jasmine Crockett was a cringeworthy spectacle of self-promotion, baseless accusations, and partisan rage. And if this is who Democrats plan to elevate into positions of real power, voters have even more reason to keep the gavel firmly in Republican hands come November.
