In yet another head-scratching display of radical activism, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) took to the steps of the U.S. Capitol—not to serve the people of Michigan—but to bang a metal pan in protest support of Palestine amid the ongoing war between Israel and the Hamas terror group. Yes, you read that right. A sitting member of Congress resorted to kitchenware theatrics while the world watches Israel defend itself from an organization that proudly targets civilians.
Tlaib, one of the original members of the far-left “Squad,” has never shied away from controversy. But this latest stunt has left many Americans asking: Who does she really work for—Michigan, or Gaza?
In the bizarre video, Tlaib holds up a metal pan and spoon, declaring, “Palestinian people, this is all for you,” before banging the pan like a street protester. It was an embarrassing, tone-deaf moment that only reaffirmed what many conservatives have long believed—Tlaib is more interested in pushing anti-Israel propaganda than representing the American people.
The radical Democrat followed the performance with a lengthy, inflammatory statement on her website that reads more like a Hamas press release than a message from a U.S. lawmaker. She claimed, without evidence, that Israel is committing genocide and blamed the United States for supporting an ally in the Middle East.
Tlaib ranted, “It’s no coincidence that immediately after our government sent the Israeli apartheid regime over $14 billion…Netanyahu began a ground invasion of Rafah to continue the genocide of Palestinians.” She conveniently omitted that Israel’s operations in Rafah target Hamas militants hiding among civilians—a reality well-documented by independent sources.
Of course, the Congresswoman trotted out inflated figures and ignored the fact that Hamas uses civilians, including children, as human shields. She mourned for “over 1.5 million Palestinian civilians” while failing to condemn the October 7th massacre of Israeli civilians—one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in modern history.
Despite facing prior censure for her antisemitic rhetoric, Tlaib doubled down. She accused her colleagues of aiding genocide, slammed President Biden for supplying weapons to Israel, and demanded the United States cut all military funding to one of our most important allies. Her priorities couldn’t be clearer.
But Tlaib didn’t stop at condemning her fellow lawmakers—she even called for the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior Israeli officials. Let that sink in: a U.S. Congresswoman is urging a foreign court to arrest leaders of an allied democracy fighting a terrorist organization.
Instead of working to lower inflation, improve public safety, or address Michigan’s crumbling infrastructure, Rep. Tlaib is banging pots and pushing for the arrest of Israeli leaders. Her unhinged activism doesn’t just betray American values—it emboldens terrorists and weakens our standing in the world.
At a time when Americans crave strong leadership, Rashida Tlaib has once again chosen radicalism over reason, and propaganda over patriotism. The voters of Michigan—and the country—deserve better.
