In yet another jaw-dropping moment from the far-left wing of the Democratic Party, Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett made headlines over the weekend with racially charged, divisive rhetoric that left many Americans stunned.

Speaking at a historically black church in Waterbury, Connecticut, Crockett dismissed concerns about mass immigration with a deeply offensive statement: “We done picking cotton. You can’t pay us enough to find a plantation.” The comment, made at Grace Baptist Church’s 125th anniversary celebration, was caught on video and quickly made the rounds online.

The implication was clear: Crockett believes America needs a steady flow of immigrants to fill farming and manual labor jobs because Black Americans, she claims, won’t do them anymore. The crowd responded with tepid laughter, but the backlash outside the church was anything but quiet.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just a tone-deaf remark—it’s a deeply insulting one. Crockett, who was supposedly advocating for the contributions of immigrants, chose to stereotype and diminish the value of hard work by implying that certain jobs are beneath Americans, particularly Black Americans. It’s a classic example of the elitist, left-wing mindset that looks down on blue-collar labor while pretending to champion the working class.

Even worse, Crockett’s attempt to justify illegal immigration relied on pitting minority groups against each other. She tried to frame criticism of open borders as “divisive” and compared the legitimate concerns of everyday Americans to the historical oppression of African Americans. According to her logic, questioning illegal immigration is equivalent to dehumanizing others—completely ignoring the fact that the real victims of illegal immigration are often working-class citizens who face job competition, wage suppression, and rising crime.

Let’s not forget: Crockett isn’t new to controversy. Just last month, she recklessly floated the idea that the U.S. might not have elections in 2028—a baseless, inflammatory comment aimed at fear-mongering. She’s also called President Trump a “dictator” and an “enemy” of the country, despite having no evidence to back up such extreme claims.

Perhaps most disgraceful of all was her mockery of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, a paraplegic, whom she flippantly referred to as “Governor Hot Wheels.” While she insists her insult had “nothing to do” with his disability, the American public isn’t buying it—and rightly so.

Crockett’s brand of politics is not about unity or justice—it’s about grievance, victimhood, and stoking division for political gain. Instead of finding real solutions to the border crisis, crime, inflation, or jobs, Democrats like Crockett resort to cheap theatrics and race-baiting in churches.

At a time when America desperately needs leaders who will defend our sovereignty, support legal immigration, and protect working-class jobs, Crockett offers nothing but inflammatory rhetoric and a refusal to take responsibility.

It’s time voters hold politicians like her accountable.
