A video posted to YouTube in April 2015 titled “Old lady smashes young punk’s windshield” started trending this week across social media.

In the black and white footage that appears to be taken from a CCTV camera, a driver of a dark-colored Toyota Prius waits patiently for a parking space.

After the space becomes available, a driver in a Honda SUV on the same side of the road as the parking spaces cuts off the Prius driver and takes the space.

A young man wearing a backwards baseball cap and talking on a cell phone exits the Honda, locks it remotely with a fob and walks away with seemingly no concern whatsoever that he just forced the other driver to search for a different space.

The Prius driver, an older-looking women, exits her vehicle, opens the back driver’s side door, removes a baseball bat, walks up to the Honda and begins pounding on the windshield.

She slams the bat into the driver’s side of the windshield three times, looks around to see if anyone has noticed her and then quickly returns to her vehicle. She backs up a little, apparently by accident, and then drives off after a bit of trying to right the front end of her vehicle so she can drive straight.

As of January 16, 2017, the video has received more than one million likes on the popular video-sharing platform. Some people have questioned its validity though and believe that it could be a fake prank video.
