The drama began when Hernandez-Garnier boarded the flight with a bandaged, but clearly bleeding, head—reportedly the result of a recent hair transplant surgery. The crew, understandably concerned about both his well-being and the potential biohazard posed by the open wound, asked him to clean the area and replace the bandage. However, Hernandez-Garnier claimed he had no extra bandages, according to local reports.
Faced with the couple’s refusal to comply, the airline staff made the difficult but necessary decision to ask them to deboard the plane, citing concerns for both the passengers’ health and the cleanliness of the cabin.
