In a major victory for law enforcement and child protection efforts under the Trump administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced that hundreds of alleged child predators have been arrested and hundreds of exploited children rescued during a sweeping nationwide crackdown known as “Operation Iron Pursuit.”

The operation, coordinated through every single FBI field office across the country, targeted individuals accused of sexually exploiting children and trafficking minors online and in person. The results were staggering.

According to a statement released by the FBI’s San Francisco division on social media, more than 350 suspected child predators were arrested during the month-long effort, while over 200 child victims were located and rescued from dangerous situations.

“Justice Department Announces Results of Operation Iron Pursuit,” the FBI San Francisco account posted. “In April, the FBI and our partners arrested more than 350 child predators and recovered more than 200 child victims.”

The San Francisco Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force alone contributed to seven arrests during the operation.

The crackdown highlights one of the Trump administration’s central law-and-order priorities: aggressively pursuing criminals who prey on children while dismantling trafficking and exploitation networks operating across the country.

In an official press release, the United States Department of Justice described the operation as a coordinated national enforcement effort aimed at both rescuing victims and bringing predators to justice.

“The Department of Justice today announced the results of Operation Iron Pursuit, a one-month, nationwide enforcement effort to find child victims of sex abuse and arrest child sex predators,” the statement read.

The operation ran from April 1 through April 30 and involved all 56 FBI field offices nationwide, along with U.S. Attorneys’ offices and numerous local law enforcement partners.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche delivered a blunt warning to offenders, making clear that the administration intends to continue escalating these efforts.

“This operation puts every child predator on notice: we are coming for you,” Blanche said.

“The sexual exploitation of minors is an abomination with no place in our society. We will hunt down these offenders, hold them fully accountable under the law, and deliver justice for victims.”

Meanwhile, FBI Director Kash Patel emphasized that combating child exploitation has become a round-the-clock mission for federal investigators.

“Every single day this FBI is working 24/7 to break networks of child abusers all across this country,” Patel stated.

He also pointed to the administration’s broader record on missing and exploited children, noting that authorities identified and rescued more than 6,300 missing children last year alone.

“Let this be a message to criminal actors who seek to target America’s children,” Patel added. “You will be pursued, and you will be brought to justice.”

For many conservatives, the operation stands as a powerful contrast to years of criticism directed at federal law enforcement agencies over misplaced political priorities. Instead of focusing resources on ideological investigations or speech policing, Operation Iron Pursuit centered squarely on protecting vulnerable children and dismantling criminal exploitation rings.

And Operation Iron Pursuit is far from an isolated effort.

According to the DOJ, the crackdown follows a series of similar nationwide operations conducted over the last year. Operation Relentless Justice reportedly rescued 205 children and led to 293 arrests. Operation Enduring Justice rescued 133 children and resulted in 234 arrests. Meanwhile, Operation Restore Justice led to the rescue of 115 children and the arrest of 205 offenders.

Taken together, the numbers paint a sobering picture of the scale of child exploitation in America — but also demonstrate what focused law enforcement efforts can accomplish when agencies are fully mobilized.

For countless families, these operations are more than statistics. They represent children brought home safely, predators taken off the streets, and justice finally delivered.
