In a long-overdue victory for fairness and women’s rights in sports, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is reportedly preparing to ban biological males from competing in women’s events — a monumental shift that would restore integrity to the Olympic Games after years of controversy over transgender participation.

According to *The Times of London*, the IOC — under newly restructured leadership — plans to implement a blanket policy barring male-to-female transgender athletes from women’s competitions ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy and the 2028 Summer Olympics in California. The decision marks a sharp reversal from the IOC’s previous stance, which left the issue up to individual sporting federations, allowing biological males to compete against women in several disciplines.

This shift has been building for months. Back in June, IOC President Kirsty Coventry hinted at a coming change, saying there was “overwhelming support” among members to protect the female category and restore fairness in women’s sports. “It was very clear from the members that we have to protect the female category, first and foremost,” Coventry said at the time.

Her remarks reflected growing frustration from female athletes, coaches, and fans who’ve watched women’s sports become a political battlefield. Under woke pressure, governing bodies across the world have allowed biological men to compete in female categories, often dominating the competitions and shattering records that women had worked decades to achieve.

Now, it appears the tide has turned. The *Times* reports that the IOC’s decision came after a presentation from Dr. Jane Thornton, the IOC’s medical and scientific director, who laid out clear scientific evidence showing the undeniable biological advantages that men retain even after hormone treatment — particularly in strength, speed, and endurance.

“It was a very scientific, factual and unemotional presentation which quite clearly laid out the evidence,” one insider told *The Times*, describing the meeting as a turning point. The new policy, the paper says, will be officially announced in February 2026, ahead of the Milan-Cortina Winter Games.

Interestingly, *The Times* also suggested that the IOC’s move may have been influenced by concerns over a potential clash with President Donald Trump, who has made protecting women’s sports a central plank of his policy platform. Trump has repeatedly vowed to defend female athletes from unfair competition, promising to “keep men out of women’s sports” if re-elected — a position that has gained overwhelming support among conservative and independent voters alike.

While the IOC has yet to officially confirm the policy shift, its own statements strongly suggest that change is imminent. In a comment to Fox News Digital, an IOC spokesperson said, “The working group is continuing its discussions on this topic and no decisions have been taken yet. Further information will be provided in due course.”

For millions of female athletes, however, this long-awaited course correction can’t come soon enough. For years, the radical Left insisted that “inclusion” mattered more than fairness — even as young women were pushed off podiums and stripped of scholarships.

If these reports are accurate, the IOC may finally be doing what the Left refuses to: standing up for women, protecting the integrity of sport, and putting science — not ideology — back in charge.
