In yet another bombshell for the credibility of the so-called “intelligence community,” newly released 2017 House Intelligence Committee transcripts have confirmed what conservatives have said all along: the Trump-Russia collusion narrative was a political hit job with zero evidence to back it up.
That’s right — the same narrative the media breathlessly pushed for years, the one that fueled an endless witch hunt against President Trump and paralyzed his first term in office, was knowingly built on sand. And now we have their own words to prove it.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, a central figure in the anti-Trump cabal, admitted under oath that there was never any “direct empirical evidence” of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. “I never saw any direct empirical evidence that the Trump campaign or someone in it was plotting/conspiring with the Russians to meddle with the election,” Clapper testified. Let that sink in. No evidence — just political smoke and mirrors.
And Clapper wasn’t alone.
Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch also acknowledged she was never briefed on — nor did she ever see — any solid evidence of conspiracy. “I can’t say that it existed or not,” she said under oath.
John Brennan, Obama’s CIA director, went even further, confirming that the Clinton campaign was the driving force behind the entire hoax. According to declassified documents, Brennan briefed Obama that Hillary Clinton had “approved a proposal… to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security service.” So the Russia hoax wasn’t just fiction — it was a campaign strategy straight out of the Clinton playbook.
Former U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power and National Security Advisor Susan Rice also admitted they had nothing. No evidence. No intelligence. Nothing to support the lies peddled to the American public for years.
Yet despite this lack of evidence, these same operatives helped launch one of the most damaging political smear campaigns in modern history, dragging the country through the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, the Mueller probe, and endless media hysteria.
And it didn’t stop with lies. It now appears Fusion GPS contractor Nellie Ohr could be facing criminal charges for lying to Congress about her role in the scheme. According to a newly declassified FBI analysis obtained by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Ohr gave false testimony to Congress regarding her work on behalf of Fusion GPS, the firm behind the infamous Steele dossier. The FBI concluded she violated federal laws, including obstruction and making false statements.
So where is the accountability?
This was never about “defending democracy.” It was about undermining a duly elected president and weaponizing our intelligence and justice systems to serve the political interests of the Left.
The truth is finally coming out — slowly, painfully — but unmistakably. And for the American people who were gaslit, lied to, and mocked for daring to question the Russia narrative, vindication is here.
Let’s be clear: this wasn’t just a political dirty trick. It was an attempted coup — and those responsible must be held accountable.
