The last time anyone saw Natalie Jones, mom of two from Georgia, was at a Fourth of July party in Alabama. She was 27 years old when she went missing this summer. She disappeared after traveling to Alabama with a group of people for a fourth of July celebration. The festivities marked the time of disappearance. Her 2002 pink Chevrolet Cavalier was found in the middle of nowhere. Jones never made it home alive as her body was found inside her car, deceased that same night. This news was a devastating blow to all involved, especially to her mother. The victim’s mother has been working closely with the case, trying to get to the bottom of what happened to her daughter on that faithful night. At first, her disappearance began as a missing person case early that summer. The investigators then tracked the car to a wooded area in Heard County. They found a body inside. GBI investigators were able to track down Jones’ car after it was spotted in a remote part of Heard County where Natalie Jones was discovered. The investigators then worked alongside Jones’ family to confirm that the body found inside the car matching her description was hers.

Although the state of Georgia has not confirmed that the body belonged to Jones, Natalie Jones’ mother said that law enforcers told her that it belonged to her daughter. This information was relayed to their local news channel during an interview. Officials are still waiting to officially confirm the body belonged to Jones until they receive the final autopsy, even though the family identified the body. According to authorities, the woman’s car was found in the woods near Roosterville in Georgia, and her corpse was discovered decomposing inside it has been there since the time of disappearance. This conclusion was made after the vehicle circulated through social media. The evidence debunks the rumors spreading about her on social media. Some rumors were circulating after the photos made their rounds on social media with some people stating she made it home after the party in Alabama. Clearly, the evidence was too convincing, and they were able to prove that she was nowhere near her house that night.

Before she disappeared, Jones reportedly sent a message to a friend saying that she made it home. However, the cell tower was able to track the message to a different area. One area that did not correspond with her home. The area where the incident happened was initially treated as a crime scene. However, after carrying out an investigation, the police did not find evidence of foul play. But not everyone is convinced. Jones’ mother, Elaine Gordon, believes that something foul happened to her daughter that night. She was locked up in a custody battle in the midst of her disappearance. Her mother believes that Jones’ ex-partner was responsible for the disappearance of her daughter, and maybe even her murder too. Gordon also doesn’t believe that her daughter’s car has been in the woods since July, the month in question. She believes this so strongly because there were reportedly about ten squad cars out looking for Jones, and every one of them passed the spot where her daughter was found.
