We all wish for the day when we will be living in our own houses. It’s the day that we’ve worked so hard for, and it truly belongs to us. This mother and daughter have been on this same path for quite some time now.

Dan and Leanna Gregory were purchasing a house through their own funds. It was the best decision they’d ever made, according to Dan. Because of the pandemic, it’s impossible for Dan and Leanna Gregory to continue renting when the rates are increasing.

Jen told Fox 5 Las Vegas, “My mom and I decided to buy a house together about two months ago because both of our rents were going to go up dramatically, about $500 apiece.”

It was difficult for them to generate the cash right away, but they were ecstatic about starting a new chapter in their life. This four-bedroom, three-bathroom house will be shared by Larsen and her three children together with Donna.

Donna stated, “We scrimped and scraped the two of us to get this and we were so excited.”

They were able to acquire the 2,700+ square foot home on Leadville Meadows Drive in Leadville. They adore the area since it is quiet and tranquil, which is great for a family their size. To top it all off, the house was enormous!

It was their dream house. Their dream, on the other hand, became a nightmare when they were ready to move in…

According to Jen, the seller made a significant request of them. They wanted another seven days to completely clear out the home. The former residents informed them that they required money for their relocation. Jen recognized the issue and agreed to assist.

She took the time to write down this change in writing for future reference. It was only seven days, so it wasn’t a particularly big deal for them. What they didn’t realize, though, is that someone else had moved into their house over those seven days. They refuse to go now that they’ve gotten used to living there!

On the property’s deed, it is plainly stated that it was supposed to be closed on March 4. They waited seven days after the previous owners’ request. Despite having the documents to prove that it was their home, they were unable to move in when it was finally time.

With a tear in her eye, Donna stated “I can’t eat. I can’t sleep. It’s been really, really stressful.”

FOX5 obtained a copy of the eviction notice and went to the house to get the other side of the story, and they were able to confirm that someone was indeed living there. There were lights on inside. They attempted to communicate with anybody who might answer the door, but no one responded.

After that, a couple pulled into the driveway in a blue truck, followed shortly by the news crew. The Fox5 reporter went to them to inquire about the home and the male simply said that he was only visiting and didn’t want to be filmed.

Later, the woman they spotted with the blue truck driver emailed Fox5 in an attempt to locate out who they were. She stated that she is the one living in the home, and therefore has every right to do so. She also claims to have a legal rental agreement from the previous owner that extends until July 2.
