Today, Prince Harry was criticized for not intervening when his wife curtseyed ostentatiously to the Queen on Netflix.

The internet was met with a series of Bow-related articles, and Tory MP Mark Jenkinson had some strong words to say on the matter.

Mr. Jenkinson, a 40-year-old married father of four appeared to tell Harry that he should have stopped or defended the Queen after she was curtseyed to.

He told his 12,800 Twitter followers that: ‘The ultimate betrayal. And he just sits and watches.’

Princess Diana’s personal chef also spoke out against Meghan, furthering the divide between the two.

Darren McGrady, who cooked for the late Diana, William and Harry for fifteen years, took exception to a number points brought up in the show.

The Duke of Sussex stated that his wife was similar to his late mother, and Mr. McGrady replied: ‘Your wife will never be like or similar to your mother. I knew Princess Diana for 15 years. Not even close.’

However, it was Meghan’s showy bow that seemed to bother him most – as it did many others. He accentuated Harry’s behavior in the clip, adding: ‘The look on his face when his wife laughs about having to curtsey to The Queen says everything for me.’

Mr. McGrady said: “I’ve known Harry since I held him as a baby while Princess Diana was eating cereals in the kitchen at Windsor Castle. Prince Harry, with respect sir, your wife will never be like or similar to your mother. I knew Princess Diana for 15 years. Not even close.”

He spoke of Meghan: ‘She CHOSE to marry into the Royal Family. She had a choice.’

Other social media users agreed with his views, saying that it was disrespectful.

One said: ‘The Princess of Wales also had to learn many things when she became part of this family. But she was never disrespectful or made fun of it when she had to curtsey to Her Majesty.

‘Her Royal Highness was always respectful to the woman who dedicated her whole life to the crown.’

Gyles Brandreth, a royal author, called the curtsey demonstration ‘mocking’ and ’embarrassing’.

Writer and broadcaster Jon Ronson told Vanessa Feltz’s Drivetime show on TalkTV that: ‘Nobody curtsies to the Queen like that, and nobody would have advised her to do it that way.’

‘It’s embarrassing, because it is mocking – and nobody curtsies to the Queen like that, and nobody would have advised her to do it that way.’

He continued: “He [Harry] would know that the bow, as it were, is a brief nod and the curtsey is to show respect for the sovereign, and in the case of the Queen – a lady in her 90s who actually had earned respect through a lifetime of service, and that was it.To do this sort of mocking thing is uncomfortable, but it is a cultural difference. It’s like you would do a curtsey if you were playing in Snow White.”

Meghan’s recounting of her first bow to Queen Elizabeth II also differs from what she previously said happened that day.

During her interview with Oprah in 2021, she said that she was shocked when Harry told her curtseying was expected of her because she ‘didn’t even know how to curtsey.’

“Right in front of the house we practiced and ran in. Fergie ran out and said, “Do you know how to curtsey?”, she said.

“Apparently I did a very deep curtsey, I don’t remember it, and then we sat there and we chatted.”

In 2016, shortly after revealing they were dating, Meghan and the Duke met the Queen for lunch at Windsor’s Royal Lodge.
