After weeks of being on the run, the Connecticut man who was accused of murdering and dismembering his eleven-month-old daughter has finally been caught by detectives. After two weeks on the run, Christopher Francisquini was caught at a bus stop. He was suspected of criminal homicide and had been evading law enforcement since committing the crime.

Thanks to the wide media coverage, Good Samaritans were able to recognize the baby murderer when they saw him waiting for a bus at a Waterbury bus stop on Friday afternoon. They contacted police officers and he was arrested for his alleged crimes against his infant daughter.

Christopher is charged with murdering and butchering his daughter, Camilla, who was an infant when she died. The father supposedly killed the baby inside his home in Naugatuck and then ran away because he knew authorities in Connecticut would be after him.

The young man was South Portland’s father and he seemed like such a good guy, always waving when he saw me outside. I can’t believe that the charges against him are true- but if they are, $5 million is way too low for bail considering what he did.

Christopher Francisquini has a long and violent criminal history, including assault, carjacking, and various other crimes.

While on parole for an assault charge, Christopher Francisquini allegedly killed his infant daughter. After he killed the eleven-month-old baby girl, he cut off his GPS ankle bracelet and ran away from home, knowing that the authorities would be after him.

A report from the Connecticut police stated that Christopher killed his daughter Camila by strangulation. Then, he stabbed the girl and used the knife to dismember her into pieces.

After the killer murdered the infant, he fought with the baby’s mother. The mother didn’t know that her child’s father had killed the infant during this fight. The father destroyed his GPS ankle bracelet and cellphone before fleeing in a 2006 Chevy Impala on Interstate 91. He later abandoned both along the highway and ran away on foot.

A family member discovered the dismembered infant girl, and an autopsy report showed that she had succumbed to compressions and stab wounds.

Christopher Francisquini was arrested Friday afternoon at a Connecticut bus stop. A large number of police officers arrived, guns drawn, to take the suspected child killer into custody.
