Caroline Bryan, Luke Bryan’s wife, turned heads when she walked the red carpet for the CMA Awards last Wednesday. Unfortunately, less than a week later she is now in the hospital recovering from surgery.

The singer’s wife took to Instagram “Well…unexpected hip surgery….but I got the best care and surrounded by the most selfless friends ever!”

The 42-year-old woman shared a photo of herself giving a thumbs-up from her hospital bed. She also tagged the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee in the post. In addition, she shared a video of three friends helping her while she sat with her feet in boots.

One of her friends held up a shirt that said “Straight Outta Hip Surgery” in reference to the 1988 NWA album Straight Outta Compton. Caroline is in good spirits, but she has not yet disclosed what led to the necessity of her surgery.

Caroline and Luke got married in 2006. The country singer took to Instagram to announce that he would be getting back to his performing schedule starting from November 30. This gives him time to support his wife while she recovers.

For the last 15 years, Luke Bryan has been one of the most successful and awarded country stars. He has sold over 75 million records in that time. Since 2018, Bryan has been a judge on American Idol. Some of his most popular songs include “Drink a Beer,” “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” “Drunk on You,” “Play It Again” and “I Don’t Want This Night to End.”

Luke and Caroline, who live near Nashville in Williamson County, have two sons together.

In 2007, Bryan’s older sister Kelly died suddenly at home from unknown causes. After Kelly’s husband Ben Lee Cheshire died in 2014, Bryan and Caroline took over raising their nephew and caring for their nieces.

Get well soon, Caroline!
