The radical left is so blinded by its hatred for President Donald Trump that it’s now calling for Los Angeles to be stripped of the 2028 Summer Olympics — all because hosting the games would involve coordinating with a Trump administration. Yes, really.

In yet another unhinged moment from the political fringe, *The San Francisco Chronicle* published an op-ed demanding LA withdraw as host city for the Olympics if Trump returns to the White House. The reason? The author claims working with Trump amounts to cooperating with a “lawless regime.” Apparently, enforcing immigration laws and cleaning up crime makes you a tyrant now — if you have an “R” next to your name.

Fox Business host Stuart Varney tore into the piece on “Varney & Co,” calling it the latest example of how Trump Derangement Syndrome has completely broken the American left. “Can you imagine turning down that kind of opportunity to sell your city because you don’t like Trump?” Varney asked, rightly calling the idea “pathetic.”

His guest, political commentator Joe Concha, didn’t hold back either. Concha blasted California’s current leadership — Governor Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass — for turning one of America’s most iconic cities into a cautionary tale of what happens when leftists run wild.

“Who do you trust more to make Los Angeles safe — Donald Trump and his federal agencies, or Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass?” Concha asked. “Based on what we’ve seen with wildfires, homelessness, and illegal immigration, I’ll take Trump any day.”

Even more laughable, the op-ed claims that Trump has already deployed “secret police” to Los Angeles — a wild and baseless accusation clearly designed to stoke fear. Concha rightly pointed out the absurdity of comparing Trump’s law enforcement actions to Nazi SS tactics, saying, “It’s amazing when you read this. They’re calling federal law enforcement in California a Nazi-style occupation.”

Let’s be honest — Los Angeles under Democrat control is a mess. Homeless encampments blanket the sidewalks, violent crime is rising, and basic city services are collapsing under the weight of progressive policies. Yet the left’s biggest concern isn’t fixing any of that — it’s making sure no photo ops exist of a functioning Trump administration during the 2028 Olympics.

Meanwhile, plenty of Americans — not just conservatives — are questioning whether LA is even fit to host the games in the first place. On social media, users are calling for the Olympics to be relocated to states that actually know how to run things, like Florida or Texas.

“The Olympics in Los Angeles should be cancelled at this point,” one user posted on X. “Rarely a day goes by without chaos in these liberal strongholds.” Another wrote, “California does NOT deserve to host the Olympics! We should give it to Texas or Florida instead!”

And honestly, they’re not wrong. If California’s leadership is more interested in political theater than public safety, why reward them with the most prestigious global sporting event on Earth?

Between the delusional leftist rants and the crumbling state of Los Angeles, it’s looking more and more like America would be better off letting a competent state take the Olympic torch.

After all, if LA can’t handle the idea of cooperating with a Republican president, maybe it shouldn’t be trusted to host the world.
