In a stunning revelation that has rocked Washington, new whistleblower documents suggest that now-Senator Adam Schiff may have actively orchestrated the leaking of classified information to damage President Donald Trump during the Russiagate scandal. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the reports a “bombshell” and accused the mainstream media of attempting to cover up Schiff’s alleged misconduct.

The recently declassified documents, including a 302 FBI report released by Kash Patel, a former federal official, outline shocking details of Schiff’s alleged actions. According to the whistleblower — a career intelligence officer and Democratic staffer on the House Intelligence Committee — Schiff convened an all-hands meeting and instructed staffers to leak classified information specifically to harm Trump.

“When working in this capacity, [redacted staffer] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF,” the report reads. “In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President Donald Trump. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President Trump.”

The whistleblower immediately raised concerns about the legality of such actions, warning that they could constitute a federal crime. Yet, according to the report, other staffers dismissed these warnings, assuring one another that they “would not be caught leaking classified information.”

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Leavitt didn’t mince words. “This is obviously a bombshell whistleblower report,” she said. “Hopefully more people in this room will cover it as such.” She emphasized the gravity of the allegations, noting that the whistleblower repeatedly warned the FBI in 2017 about Schiff’s attempts to weaponize classified intelligence for political purposes.

Leavitt also highlighted comments from Patel, who described a broader problem of senior officials exploiting government positions for political gain. “‘For years, certain officials used their positions to selectively leak classified information to shape political narratives,’” she quoted. “‘It was all done with one purpose: to weaponize intelligence and law enforcement for political gain. Those abuses eroded public trust in our institutions.’”

The White House is pushing for accountability. Leavitt made clear that President Trump believes Schiff should face consequences for his role in undermining the integrity of American institutions. “The President has already said he wants to see Adam Schiff held accountable for the countless lies he told the American people in relation to the Russiagate scandal,” she stated.

Unsurprisingly, Schiff’s office attempted to dismiss the allegations as politically motivated. A spokesperson called the whistleblower a “disgruntled former staffer” whose claims were “not reliable, not credible, and unsubstantiated.” Schiff’s team cited prior findings by the Justice Department and an independent inspector general, arguing that the accusations “were not ultimately substantiated.”

But for conservatives, the documents paint a stark picture of partisan corruption at the highest levels of government — a reminder of the lengths some in Washington will go to undermine a sitting president. With the release of these FBI reports, questions about Schiff’s actions during Russiagate are once again front and center, and calls for accountability are growing louder in Congress and across the country.
