In a moment that perfectly captured the left’s growing panic, former Vice President and failed presidential hopeful Kamala Harris completely unraveled on MSNBC over the Department of Justice daring to hold her political allies accountable for their corruption.
Appearing Sunday, October 13, on MSNBC’s “The Weekend,” Harris went on an unhinged rant accusing President Trump’s DOJ of being “untrustworthy” — all because it secured federal indictments against disgraced former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, both of whom are notorious for weaponizing their offices against conservatives.
With her trademark blend of self-righteousness and confusion, Harris told host Symone Sanders-Townsend, “I don’t know if we can trust what’s coming out of the Department of Justice right now. And that pains me to say that as someone who spent the majority of my career as a prosecutor where the work of a prosecutor should be to do justice.”
To anyone with a memory longer than a goldfish, the irony was almost unbearable. Harris was second-in-command during the Biden administration — the same regime that targeted parents at school board meetings, raided President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, and jailed pro-life activists. But now that the DOJ is turning its sights on Democrats, suddenly Harris believes it’s “politicized.”
She went on, in a melodramatic tone, to claim that holding people like Letitia James accountable is somehow an attack on justice itself: “Many who have worked as U.S. Attorneys talk openly and rightly about the fact that they should do their work without any fear and not in the interest of favor, and that so clearly, is not what is ruling the day there.”
Translation: It’s only “justice” when Democrats are the ones holding the handcuffs.
Harris then tried to frame the prosecutions of Comey and James — both of whom allegedly abused their offices for political gain — as a national tragedy, warning that “when you have an administration and individuals who are manipulating the justice system of America in that way… this affects all of us.”
Conservatives online were quick to mock her meltdown. The popular account Johnny MAGA summed it up perfectly: “This is a woman whose administration weaponized the DOJ more than any other in American history. She must be terrified of what’s to be uncovered.”
