Jamie Foxx is currently hospitalized due to a medical complication that has not been disclosed to the public. Individuals who are close to Foxx are requesting that fans keep him in their prayers.

Although the 55-year-old actor’s condition is still unclear, sources close to the Oscar-winning star reported to TMZ that he requires all the prayers he can get.

It has been over three weeks since Foxx was admitted to a hospital in Georgia, and medical professionals are conducting tests to determine the cause of the ailment.

The Post has contacted Foxx’s representatives for a comment.

Foxx’s daughter Corinne announced on Instagram on April 12 that her father was receiving emergency medical care.

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the family statement read. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”

“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

According to a source who spoke to People on April 21, the actor is currently in the hospital and though they are “OK,” they have not yet been released.

“Doctors are running tests, but he’s awake and alert,” the source said. “They’re keeping him under observation.”

Foxx was photographed filming “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz, who is 50 years old, one day before being taken to the hospital. Despite his illness preventing him from working, the production was able to resume filming with the help of his body double shortly thereafter.

According to TMZ, “Beat Shazam” has begun filming its next season with a different host filling in for Jamie Foxx during his recovery. Foxx co-hosts the show with Corinne.

Corinne, the DJ from the show, will not be in the new season as she needs to be near her father who is currently hospitalized.

Kerry Washington, LeBron James, Martin Lawrence, and Nick Cannon are some of the actor’s celebrity friends who publicly shared their good wishes.
